Head
of foreign news at ITV News, Al Anstey and his deputy Nick Walshe are
leaving in April to join Al Jazeera International as deputy director of
news and head of input, respectively.
Current Westminster editor Tim Singleton succeeds Anstey.
ITV news editor Derl McCrudden will replace Nick Walshe.
Singleton joined ITN in 1998 and McCrudden joined in 1995 and became news editor at the foreign desk in 2000.
Singleton
said: “I am delighted by the appointment. I’ve had the privilege to
work in the field with all our foreign correspondents in very testing
situations.
I am really looking forward to continuing the good work carried out by Al Anstey and Nick Walshe.”
