thejc.com goes pay-to-view

By Press Gazette

The Jewish Chronicle’s website is going pay-to-view from this week.

Visitors to the site, thejc.com, will be able to subscribe to it on a monthly or yearly basis, with rates starting at £5.

Subscribers will also receive a subscription to the newspaper sent to their door for the same period. Newspaper subscribers will, in turn, also receive a subscription to the site.

Jewish Chronicle editor Ned Temko said: “The idea is that the two media complement one another.”

Several sections of the website, including sports, will remain free to access.
