Ten new journalism jobs found today

ESPN Formula One is hiring an assistant editor. You will be responsible for the ongoing upkeep of the ESPN F1 site, covering matches and management of live events. You should have proven experience within motor sport editorial with a primary focus on Formula One or a passion for the sport teamed with a strong journalistic background.

Job location: London, Hammersmith. Closing date: 7 November.

New Media Lux SA, a multimedia publisher of magazines and information websites, is looking for a journalist. You will produce daily content for the website, conduct interviews and attend press conferences. You should be an experienced journalist with a degree level education, ideally in journalism. You should also have a good knowledge of at least one of the following languages: French, German or Portuguese.

Job location: Luxembourg. Closing date: 3 November.

Insider Publishing, the publisher of subscription-only insurance trade monthly, is looking for a reporter to work across its print titles and web output. Although previous experience in financial publications is not essential, you will be a keen student of the financial world.

Hastings Observer has a vacancy for a senior reporter to join its team. You should be an NCTJ or equivalent. You will be a self-starter full of enthusiasm, who is as keen to see your work on the web as in print.

Job location: Hastings. Closing date: 23 October.

Scarborough Evening News is hiring a sub-editor for Scarborough Evening News and associated titles, to work three days a week. There would be an initial contract of three months.

Job location: Scarborough. Closing date: 16 October.

Northcliffe Media is looking for a part-time production journalist to join its new editorial production centre of excellence, which serves its daily newspapers as well as a vast range of weekly titles, magazines and supplements. The role involves picture selection and usage to copy editing, headline writing and page design. The job also involves digital tasks.

Job location: Hull. Closing date: 16 October.

Guardian Series Cheshire is looking for a features sub-editor/writer to work as part of the commercial features team for nine months to cover for maternity leave. You will be responsible for picture usage, headline writing and copy subbing to design and writing advertisement features. You should have NCTJ or equivalent journalistic qualification and experience of Quark Express, design and page layout.

Job location: Warrington. Closing date: 2 November.

Lancashire Telegraph is looking for an assistant news editor. This role suits someone who is eager to meet the challenge of life on a two-edition daily. You will be enthusiastic and have the talent, experience and confidence to play a leading role in a newsroom and help coach reporters to ensure best stories. Previous news desk experience would be an advantage.

Job location: Blackburn, Lancashire. Closing date: 23 October.

The publishers of the Golf Punk magazine and recently launched Football Punk are looking for an editor. You will help assemble a pool of talent that can write on fashion, grooming, sport, motoring, celebrity, business/finance, gadgets and property. In addition, you will be expected to provide inputs to a companion website. You should have a background on a broadsheet or weekend supplement and a good range of contacts.

Job location: South-East UK.

BBC Radio Solent is hiring a daytime presenter (broadcast journalist) on a 12-month fixed term/freelance contract. You should have the ability to capture and deliver issues. From political debate to the local panto, you should possess a versatile interviewing style and inquisitiveness. Knowledge of BBC’s editorial patch would be an advantage, along with an understanding of the diverse communities of the region.

Job location: Southampton. Closing date: 19 October.
