Fighting for quality news media in the digital age.

Telegraph moves into B2B with websites aimed at small businesses and media/tech

By Freddy Mayhew

Telegraph Media Group has launched two new specialised website sections aimed at helping professionals grow their businesses and develop their careers.

Telegraph Connect invites readers to sign up for free in order to access exclusive content, says the group, as well as the opportunity to chat with writers, industry leaders and peers online.

Small Business Connect and Media and Tech Connect launched yesterday.

The former is for small enterprise owners and managers and will include content on topics such as scaling-up, networking, social media marketing and work/life balance, according to the Telegraph.

The latter is for professionals working in marketing, media and technology sectors and will explore topics on creativity in advertising, marketing to millennials and digital publishing.

Further sections will be added, the first of which will be Better Business Connect aimed at directors and chief executives.

Matthew Caines, Telegraph Connect editor, said: “The Telegraph already serves a passionate and dedicated professional readership, with relevant, award-winning news, comment and analysis.

“Telegraph Connect will augment that coverage by providing professional insight and advice, exclusive access to specialist research reports, and invitations to informative seminars, conferences and meet-ups.”

Telegraph Connect will rely on sponsorship and targeted advertising opportunities.
