Fighting for quality news media in the digital age.

Sunday Telegraph makes City desk appointments

By Press Gazette

The Sunday Telegraph today announced two senior appointments on its City desk.

Mark Kleinman is the paper’s new City editor and Louise Armitstead has been appointed deputy City editor.

Kleinman has been based in Hong Kong as Asia business editor of both The Daily and Sunday Telegraph since September 2006. Before that he was M&A and media correspondent at The Sunday Times.

Armitstead is M&A editor and editor of the Prufrock section of The Sunday Times, where she has worked for six years.

The move follows the promotion last month of Damian Reece from City editor to become head of business across the Daily and Sunday Telegraphs and Telegraph.co.uk.

He said: “Our modern, integrated multi-media approach to publishing means the Telegraph Media Group is now the natural home for bright, ambitious journalists such as Mark and Louise.”
