Darius Sanai has been appointed editor-in-chief of Condé Nast’s contract magazines division.
Sanai has been working for Condé Nast on a freelance basis, editing Arrival, the magazine for travel operator Sovereign, and Savoy Style, published on behalf of the Savoy group.
He was also editor of the property and lifestyle contract magazine Gold, which ceased publication after two issues, but could be revived next year.
His role will now be expanded to include further new titles at Condé Nast, including an anticipated launch for an international hotel chain once a deal is signed this week.
Prior to Condé Nast, Sanai was a feature writer on The Independent for two years. He has also freelanced for Esquire and The Sunday Times.
