Rex Features has admitted that a “lapse of judgement” led it to publish pictures of patients walking in the grounds of The Priory rehab clinic on its website.
Priory Group corporate communications manager Karen Croft complained to the Press Complaints Commission on behalf of the clinic and claimed that a photographer had entered the grounds covertly to take pictures.
The agency responded by saying the pictures had been taken by a freelance photographer working on their own initiative. The pictures were taken down from the website as soon as the Priory made contact.
