Trish Halpin is to edit IPC fashion and celebrity monthly, In Style.
Halpin,
currently editor of Red at Hachette Filipacchi, will take over the role
in September. She replaces Louise Chunn, who left In Style in March to
edit Natmags' Good Housekeeping.
A
two-time winner of the British Society of Magazine Editors' Editor of
the Year award, Halpin has also been deputy editor of New Woman and More.
IPC
SouthBank managing director Jackie Newcombe said: "The whole team here
is thrilled that at a time when In Style is celebrating its fifth
birthday, we can welcome someone of Trish's stature and reputation to
take the magazine on to its next stage of development."
In Style,
launched by Time Inc. in the US in 1994, has ten editions around the
world, launched in the UK in 2001, and had a circulation of 196,857 in
the latest ABCs.
The title celebrates its fifth birthday with
an invitation-only party and exclusive exhibition of red carpet gowns,
sponsored by John Frieda, at the Victoria & Albert Museum on 19
June.
