Bauer Media is hoping to lure new subscribers to its music magazine Q by offering them a previously unreleased album of covers by the Foo Fighters.
The May issue of the magazine will offer the album – called Medium Rare – to those will to spend £10 to sign up for a six-issue subscription.
Paul Rees, editor-in-chief of Q, said: “I think it’s fairly safe to say that the Foos’ Medium Rare CD is the best subscriptions offer we’ve ever been able to make.
‘As long-term supporters of the band, we’d like to thank them for championing Q in such a unique way.”
Q remains the biggest selling music magazine in the country, however the title, like others in the sector, sales have fallen in recent times.
According to the most recent figures available from the Audit Bureau of Circulations, Q sold an average of 89,450 copies each month in the second half of last year – a year-on-year drop in sale of 6.9 per cent.
