ITV News has appointed current UK editor Tom Bradby as political editor following Nick Robinson’s decision to return to the BBC.
The broadcaster has also poached BBC daily politics presenter Daisy Sampson to become chief political correspondent.
Bradby has previously covered the Royal, political, Asia and Northern Ireland beats for ITV.

Mannion, editor-in-chief of ITV News, said: “Tom and Daisy are both
formidable political journalists and their appointment signals a change
in the way we intend to report political matters.”
Current ITV News senior correspondent John Ray is to take over as UK editor before moving to an overseas ITV bureaux next year.
