Nine new journalism jobs found today

A writer (£25-30K plus benefits) is required for financial industry. You will assist in creating and updating the online content of financial websites, creating new websites for developing operations and proof reading ensuring house style and brand guidelines. You should be educated to degree level with a minimum of 3 years writing or editing experience within a commercial environment. Job location: London.

A financial publisher is looking for a managing editor, investment (£35-50K plus benefits). You will be responsible for developing the writing team and making sure both internal and external editors meet their deadlines. You will also oversee all of the editorial content and provide investment guidance. You will have extensive investment knowledge and a proven track record as an editor and/or writer. Job location: London.

A company providing real time news and data seeks a reporter (£30-35K). You will be responsible for delivering the right mix of news, data, analysis, comment and features on to the site, interview key industry figures and attend international events and conferences. You should have proven experience writing within the financial or infrastructure industries, with a strong background in writing news, features and news analysis. Job location: London.

A provider of credit ratings, research, and risk analysis is looking for an editor (£35-40K). You will edit press releases, credit reports, industry outlooks and special comments, write newsworthy press releases and articles for internal newsletters or for placement in external journals, and train analysts. You should have been an editor in a financial services firm, trade publication or wire service. Knowledge of other European languages would be an advantage. Job location: London.

Nature, the international weekly journal of science, has a vacancy for a subeditor. You will handle copy written by journalists and will deal with general science news, book reviews and primary research. You will have a science degree, excellent literacy and word-processing skills and experience of subediting on a science-related magazine or journal. The ability to use InDesign and InCopy would be an advantage. Job location: London. Closing date: 23 October.

A global broadcast vendor is hiring an online managing editor, broadcast (£50K). You will be responsible for building the content proposition surrounding the VOD platform, sourcing content and writing new copy while managing a team of editors. You will be an online editor with previous experience in online content within broadcast, high traffic websites and a knowledge of CMS, HTML and Photoshop. Job location: London. Closing date: 20 October.

Brides is looking for a staff writer to join its new promotions team, working a four-day week. The role involves writing and flat planning a variety of supplements produced across the year, including Honeymoons, Venues, Grooms and Photography, and producing the copy for all the promotional pages. You should have worked on a consumer magazine or national newspaper. Job location: London.
