Nigella Lawson: Mag interview was taken out of context

By paulmcnally

TV chef Nigella Lawson has accused the press of taking her comments out of context, following a magazine interview in which she appears to disinherit her children.

According to the Independent, Lawson said in an interview with My Weekly: “I am determined that my children should have no financial security. It ruins people not having to earn money.”

The story was followed up by a number of newspapers and showbiz websites, prompting Lawson to issue a swift clarification on her own website.

“You might have noticed in the press that I have (apparently) cut my children out of my will,” the statement says. “The story that has been circulating is not a true relection of my intentions.”
