News Corp and ROO agree content deal

By Press Gazette

News Corporation has announced an agreement with ROO, one of the world’s top online video networks.

The move, which sees the corporation purchase up to 10 per cent of the Australian online company, solidifies ROO’s ongoing relationship with News Corporation. ROO currently powers online global video content distribution and content syndication across many of News Corp’s premier properties, including The Sun, The Times, The News of The World and Australian and has a content syndication partnership with Sky News.

Jeremy Philips, executive vice president, office of the chairman, News Corporation, said: ‘We look forward to building on our successful relationship with ROO to continue the growth of News Corp’s video assets in the digital marketplace.”
