New publisher for IPC’s Wallpaper

By Press Gazette

IPC Media’s style and design title, Wallpaper, has appointed a new publisher.

Chris Ware joins the group from PHD Media, where he was group head across brands such as Harrods, the BBC and The Economist.

Prior to joining PHD four years ago he worked at Carat and MCS. Ware will head up the group’s advertising and commercial office from his London base, supervising the London team and the eight international offices.

He will oversee Wallpaper magazine, the new bi-annual travel title Navigator, plus the commercial development of the soon-to-be-launched Wallpaper website.

Richard Johnstone, Wallpaper’s publishing director, said: “Chris will be focused on increasing the international advertising business. He will also play a key role in developing commercial marketing opportunities with leading Wallpaper advertisers, through innovative and creative marketing solutions.”

Ware said: “I am really thrilled to be taking on this role at Wallpaper I’m looking forward to bringing my agency experience into the fold to lead the sales team on to bigger and better deals. This is a fantastic opportunity.”
