Fighting for quality news media in the digital age.

New faces for BBC’s Working Lunch

By Rachael Gallagher

BBC2’s business and economics show, Working Lunch, will relaunch this autumn with new presenters and more online coverage

New presenters Declan Curry and Naga Munchetty will present the show on a new set. They replace Adam Shaw who is moving to mornings on BBC Breakfast and the BBC News Channel.

A Daily blog is being launched and greater audience interaction encouraged.

Jeremy Hillman, editor of the BBC Economics and Business Unit said the team will provide up-to-date information on the credit crunch. “Our audience is crying out to understand as much as they can about what’s happening in the economy and how it’s affecting them. Declan and Naga both have huge experience in business journalism and will bring a real wit and incisiveness to the programme.”

Munchetty joins the BBC from a senior presenter role at Bloomberg covering economics and business, and has previously worked at Channel 4 News and CNBC. Curry has appeared on BBC Breakfast for several years and the BBC News Channel.
