Men’s mag in pitched battle with rivals

Zoo scored an on-pitch triumph against their bitter men’s mag rivals with a crushing 5-0 win over Nuts magazine.

The undefeated ZOO footballers – whose recent scalps include 20th Century Fox’s film buffs, and the ab-crunchers at Men’s Health – trounced the Nuts team in a so-called friendly near Herne Hill in London.

The match was all but over after 20 minutes, as the Bauer boys raced to an impressive 3-0 lead early on and threatened to embarrass their crestfallen opponents. But Nuts battled back and ZOO had to scrap, chase and sweat (gallons) to preserve their lead.

But they soon got their reward in the form of two impressive late goals and might have had another were it not disallowed for a phantom offside. But there were few quibbles at the final whistle – the bragging rights were ZOO’s and Nuts graciously bought the pints in the pub after.

Next up for the seemingly unstoppable ZOO boys: The Sunday Mirror and Nike.
