The consumer magazine Which has appointed Martyn Hocking as new editor.
Hocking has been acting editor of Which since October, and was editor of Which Money magazine from February 2007.
He first joined the group in the 1990s, when he was deputy editor of Which Gardening. Before re-joining Which in 2006, he was launch editor of Location, Location, Location magazine.
Hocking said: ‘Which is a great organisation to work for, not least because it really makes a difference to the lives of millions of consumers.
‘I’m excited to be taking up the role of editor, where I’ll have the opportunity to champion consumers across the really diverse range of issues that Which covers.”
Helen Parker, editorial director at Which, said: ‘Martyn has done an excellent job as money editor, and under his stewardship Which Money has quickly established itself as the UK’s biggest-selling consumer finance magazine.
‘His extensive editorial experience and his enthusiasm for the title and the organisation will take Which magazine from strength to strength.”
Which recently announced a six per cent growth in subscriptions. It has almost half a million subscribers, and an average issue readership of 1.5 million.
