Independent magazine distributor Magazine Marketing Company (MMC) is under new ownership after a management buy-out.
Executive director Andrew Scott will become managing director after 11 years with the company, Graham Ford will remain operations director and James Stringer will rejoin the company after two and a half years as publisher of Wisden Cricket Monthly. Michael Ellis joins as finance director after previously working for Cazenove and WestLB. Scott pledged to invest in staff and said: “It is the stated aim of the new team that MMC will remain the first-choice distributor of specialist magazines, through investment in its staff, its information systems and its quality service to clients.”
