Business title Management Today and the Management Consultancies Association (MCA) and have come together to launch the UK’s first Management Writing Awards.

Awards will be presented for best management book, best management article and best new writer under 30.

Journalists, authors, consultants and publishers are invited to enter nominations for their management books and articles published in the UK in the past 12 months. Articles by authors under 30 may be unpublished.

The winner in each category will have extracts of their work published in the November issue of Management Today and will receive £1,000.

Commenting on the launch of the awards, Lynton Barker, MCA president and chairman of Hedra, said: “The basis of any good theory must be simple ideas, which are clearly expressed.

We have launched these awards to encourage the spread of new management ideas to a broader audience through well-written and stimulating books and articles.”
