Mail’s pregnant pause over maternity money

By Axegrinder axeblog

THE Daily Mail’s showbiz reporter, Nicole Lambert, is currently on maternity leave ‒ and natch, Axegrinder wishes her well.

But I understand that she’s currently in dispute with the financial boffins at Associated Newspapers about the retainer she’s getting while away from the office. “It’s considerably lower than others have received,” I’m reliably informed, “and understandably Nicole isn’t the happiest bunny around.”

Some say that Alison Boshoff, another talented member of the paper’s editorial staff, received a larger amount when she took maternity leave.
