Sarah Longbottom is leaving the editor's chair at Retail Newsagent after 18 months to become the new editor of Travel Weekly as of June 2007.
The Reed Business Information magazine for travel agents and tour operators has been without an editor for more than six months since the departure of Richard Siddle. Deputy editor Martin Couzins has been acting editor during the interim.
Managing director of Newtrade Publishing Nick Shanagher said: "Sarah has done a great job in her time with Retail Newsagent, helping us to reposition the magazine as the first-choice title for independent news and convenience retailers seeking business information and insight."
Before joining retail newsagent Longbottom worked on Air Cargo Week and Travel Trade Gazette Middle East and North Africa.
