Specialist title the Loco Journal is at the centre of a libel battle involving union bosses.
Shaun Brady, former general secretary of the train drivers’ union Aslef, is suing its current general secretary Keith Norman.
Brady is suing Norman for damages and aggravated damages for alleged libel.
The court battle centres around an article headed: ‘The Brady Era is Over’in the July 2006 edition of the Loco Journal, according to a High Court writ.
The story was also published on Aslef’s website, the writ says.
Brady, of Middenbury, Hampshire, limits his claim for damages to £50,000.
