REDESIGNS

Nme.com

Sector: Music

Publisher: IPC Magazines

Nme.com, the New Musical Express’ website, has been completely revamped. Despite winning several awards since its launch, editor Anthony Thornton says the change was inevitable. “Websites have to keep changing in order to sat fresh. We’ve brought news more to the forefront of the site and we’re now positing up 10 to 15 stories every day.”

Previously, each section of the site was colour-coded, but the colour and typography have been changed to bring the site in line with the print version of NME. The site now downloads up to 25 per cent more quickly as a result. NME’s print journalists still write most of the content.
