Le Monde has launched an interactive web site site Le Post that provides news from content produced by staff and by users. Benoit Raphaël, who heads the editorial operation, told The Editors Weblog that the content of the site, which will remain separate to LeMonde, will be “oriented towards pedagogy and entertainment, with a focus on witness reports and comment”.
PaidContent:UK points out the similarities with other sites such as MyTelegraph and USAToday.com but adds that a key difference is that Le Monde, to appeal to younger audiences, has kept site entirely separate from the newspaper.
