ITN On has launched a dedicated entertainment and sports channel on YouTube.
The broadcast news organisation’s multimedia division, ITN On, today introduced an ad-funded channel focusing on entertainment plus sports, film and Bollywood programmes made specifically for the web.
ITN plans to add a large amount of showbiz material daily to the channel. Content will include Bollywood Insider, a weekly Bollywood programme, presented by Sunrise Radio’s Suzi Mann and EPL, a round up of football news and Sports Fix, a weekly sports run down.
ITN will also create content for the channel using ITN Source’s video content (www.itnsource.com) including Most Requested Ever, a run down of the biggest celebrity stories ever requested from the library and On this Day in History, a review of events that occurred on that a particular day.
Nicholas Wheeler, Managing Director of ITN On said: ‘As a leading producer of high quality video content for online and mobile platforms, ITN On see YouTube as a key partner for making our entertainment and sports content available to end users.
‘YouTube have built a name as a destination resource for video on the internet, and for us at ITN this partnership will engage more users with our content and extend our brand’s reputation as a provider of high quality video journalism on the web.”
Last week, ITN On announced a deal to provide news, entertainment and sports coverage to the IPTV platform Joost.
