The Independent titles today became the latest national title to commit to full-colour printing.
Trinity Mirror, which prints The Independent, announced today that it is to invest £23 million in printing equipment following news that it is to enter into a 12-year agreement.
The deal means presses at Oldham and Watford will be upgraded for both full colour and to have improved inserting facilities.
The news follows massive investment in colour printing technology across the national press – mainly spurred by the increased prices which can be charged for colour advertising.
