United Business Media picked up a hat-trick of prizes at this year’s Periodicals Training Council new journalist of the year awards.
Hardeep Sandher of Property Week was named features journalist of the year and also picked up the top prize of new journalist of the year. Gareth Iacobucci of UBM’s Pulse won the new business news journalist of the year.
Shortlist Media, publishers of free men’s weekly Shortlist, won two prizes: new consumer journalist of the year Andrew Lowry and new section editor of the year Lucy Foster.
Mark Hooper of Redwood’s Electric! magazine was named new editor of the year and most promising student of the year went to Gabrielle Jaffe of City University.
