Guardian News & Media is hiring two editorial staff ahead of a launch of a new website focused on international development.
The new site, an addition to Guardian.co.uk aiming to become the “global hub for development news, comment and information”, is expected to launch next month.
Ahead of the launch, GNM has advertised for a site editor to oversee editorial coverage on the new site and community coordinator to encourage interaction once launched.
A key element to the site is expected to be focus on the United Nations Millennium Development Goals.
The development goals are eight key pledges made by all UN member states and a further series of international organisations to achieve by 2015.
They include working to end poverty and hunger, reducing child mortality, fighting epidemics and creating a cohesive international framework for future development.
A spokeswoman for GNM told Press Gazette that more details about the makeup of the site would be released ahead of launch next month.
