Gowers cashes in with Lehman Brothers job

By Press Gazette

Dominic Ponsford

Former Financial Times editor Andrew Gowers has secured a lucrative new job – as head of corporate communications for global investment bank Lehman Brothers.

Gowers abruptly left the Financial Times in November last year because of “strategic differences” with owners Pearson. Since then the government have appointed him to head up a review of intellectual property law.

He was FT editor from 2001 to 2005 and began his career in journalism at Reuters in 1980. He joined the FT in 1983.
