Guardian Media Group boss, Carolyn McCall, has resigned from the board of Lloyds Banking Group.
She joins United Utilities chief executive, Philip Green, in stepping down. Both said the amount increased time commitment needed by the company made their Lloyds roles untenable.
Their departures come a week after chairman Sir Win Bischoff took up his role.
According to the FT: Bischoff now has the task of replacing them along with the rest of the Lloyds directors in place when the deal to form HBOS was struck.
