The Kentish Gazette has donated £6,320 to four charities in the Canterbury area.
The money was raised at the paper’s third Big Quiz event, organised by subeditor Simon Dolby. The contestants were drawn from a wide range of the community, including the council, a local hospital, charity organisations and businesses.
The money went to Dave Lee’s Happy Holidays, which provides breaks for sick and underprivileged children, Canterbury Hospital League of Friends, East Kent Cyrenians, who work with the homeless, and the Lady Mayoress’s Charity.
