A Kent judge has refused an application by journalists to identify a mother accused of allowing her ferret to maul her baby.
The Herne Bay Gazette, Meridian Television and PA argued that it was in the public interest that the mother should be identified.
But Judge Nigel Van Der Bijl at Canterbury Crown Court ruled that it was the facts of the case that were of interest to the public, not so much those who were involved.
