Football previews from broadsheets

By Press Gazette

This week’s Sunday Telegraph will be publishing a 36-page Premiership preview supplement, writes Mary Stevens.

The supplement features Gary Lineker’s view on the prospects for each team, an interview with Sir Bobby Robson by chief football writer Patrick Barclay, and a piece by new football correspondent Roy Collins about how the three promoted sides might perform.

The Guardian is publishing The Season, its A5, 84-page annual guide to the football season, on 11 August.

Roberto Carlos writes about David Beckham’s arrival at Real Madrid, Harry Redknapp extols the art of wheeler-dealing and Guardian columnist Ron Atkinson reveals whom he would sign if he had Roman Abramovich’s chequebook.

It also has analysis of every Premiership team, fixture listings for the Premiership and Nationwide League and full details of television and radio coverage. The Season is edited by Matthew Hancock, with art direction by Derek Balment.
