The art director of Emap’s Car magazine, Andrew Thomas, has joined Franey Publishing as creative director.
Thomas – who has been awarded Emap designer of the year in 1999, MDA best-designed consumer magazine in 2002, and PPA designer of the year in 2005 and 2007 – joined Emap immediately upon leaving university as a graduate trainee.
‘I cut my teeth as a young designer with the company,’he said. ‘I am now extremely excited to be joining Franey Publishing, which has so many new and exciting print and digital projects on the go that I can bring my experience to. It is going to be a very interesting time.”
Franey Publishing managing director, Matthew Franey, said: ‘Our company has focused on producing literature and new media for the luxury brand and automotive industries since we started in 2003 and Andy’s arrival as creative director here couldn’t have been
better timed.”
