The Daily Mail is backing a new award open to a journalists under 30 from an ethnic minority background.
The
Young Journalist of the Year awards is one of a number of prizes to be
handed out on September 12 at the Leadership and Diversity Awards
organized by Asian online news service GG2.
The winner of the
Daily Mail award be invited to take an internship at the Daily Mail and
is aim ed at journalists working in the regional press.
The GG2
Leadership and Diversity Awards are open to all ethnic minority
communities and consist of a dozen prizes including the Hammer Award,
for someone who has broken through the "glass ceiling", man of the
year, woman of the year and entrepreneur of the year.
