Cycling Weekly wheels out bike news website

By Press Gazette

Cycling Weekly magazine launched its first official website this week.

The site, www.cyclingweekly.co.uk, will feature similar content to the magazine, with the latest news on the UK and international race scene as well as fitness advice and bike tests.

It will also have a special events service, which its publisher IPC hopes will become the most comprehensive free source of information on cycling events in the UK. Event organisers will be able to sign up to the service free of charge for a limited period and the magazine will continue to publish its regular event sections What’s On and Race Reports.

Readers of Cycling Weekly will be able to sign up for a weekly e-mail newsletter to find out about upcoming features in the magazine.

They will also have the opportunity to be involved in a weekly online survey.

Cycling Weekly deputy editor Nigel Wynn said the idea behind the launch was to provide an extension to the magazine and attract new readers to the sport.
