Matthew Curtin has joined Dow Jones Newswires commentary column The Skeptic as Paris-based contributor.
Curtin, who holds a masters degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics, was bureau chief in Johannesburg and Singapore before joining DJ Newswires, where he worked as Paris bureau chief.
He will contribute to the column’s daily look at the prospects, economics and politics of European companies.

Other members of the four-strong team include London-based columnist Howard Wheeldon, a regular commentator on CNBC Europe and LBC Dawn Trades; and Brian Truscott, also a London-based columnist who has reported for newspapers and magazines in Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore and London.
