Helen Daly has become deputy editor of Cosmopolitan, replacing Lou Ford, who is returning to New York to live with her husband after a year in the role.
Daly, who took up the post this week, has been at Cosmopolitan for four and a half years, rising from features editor to assistant editor. Before that she was at Marie Claire Health & Beauty and Company magazines.
The move heralds a larger reshuffle in the features department, with Andreina Cordani promoted to features director, and the senior writer, Suzy Cox, becoming assistant commissioning editor.
The magazine has also hired Mel Hunter, currently a staff writer on The Sun’s features desk, to become news editor.
