Clinton accuses media of “living for” Obama spin

By colinc

Fomer U.S. president Bill Clinton lashed out at the media yesterday, accusing it of focussing on attacks between candidates rather than the issues and “happily” going along with Barack Obama spin.

CNN reporter Jessica Yellin had asked the former president about claims the Clintons were distorting the facts in the campaign against Obama.

Clinton told Yellin: “They [the Obama team] are feeding you this because they know this is what you want to cover. This is what you live for.”

He said the media were not asking the questions the electorate wanted answered and, as his aides steered him away from the press pack, scolded in Yellin’s direction: “Shame on you.”
