Channel 4 News has been nominated for an international Emmy for news coverage for its reporting of the Madrid bombings in March.
Other nominees in this category include Sky News for its Liberia coverage and NHK Japan for coverage of the terrorist bombing of UN headquarters in Iraq and “Eclipse in the Antarctic”.
Channel 4 won the award last year for “Fall of Saddam”. Editor Jim Gray said: “We’re delighted to have been nominated for a second year in a row – that’s rare for a British broadcaster.”
