Centaur has acquired the Creative Handbook from Reed Business Information for £300,000.
The purchase of the annual directory for the creative services market is planned to complement Centaur’s monthly magazine Creative Review and the weekly Design Week.
No staff were included in the transaction and the business will be moved to Centaur’s offices with immediate effect.
The next issue of the Handbook (dated 2008) will be published later this year.
Geoff Wilmot, chief executive of Centaur, said he believed the title would fit well with the existing brands for the creative community.
He added: ‘One leg of Centaur’s strategy is to build on its strength in the markets in which it already operates.
‘This latest acquisition reflects the successful continuation of that strategy.”
