Celia spies Mo in weight loss sensation

By Axegrinder axeblog

Harrods boss Mohamed Al Fayed has lost some weight.

This fascinating fact was deemed worthy of the lead item in Telegraph diarist Celia Walden’s Spy column.

Mo was spotted at a West End nightclub looking a bit thinner, although it appears no one was brave enough to approach the great man to ask about his new slimline figure.

A phone call from the Spy to his spokesman later elicits the following response: “He has lost quite a bit, yes.”

Amazing.

But Celia neglects to mention the star-studded event at which the Knightsbridge shopkeeper was spotted.

It was, in fact, her boyfriend Piers Morgan’s book launch.

But then, Piers himself had a few choice words for thelondonpaper when it came to describing his invited guests: “It’s all journalists here and they’re all tight bastards.”
