After almost 30 years as sports editor of the Yorkshire Post, Bill Bridge has decided to relinquish the position. He becomes associate sports editor.
The change means he can use his vast experience purely in a writing capacity and in a roving role.
He will contribute a new weekly column on Mondays, cover major events, write and conduct interviews and be particularly active in coverage of racing.
Bridge joined the Post as chief sports sub-editor in 1973 after having worked for four years in the Yorkshire Evening Post’s sports department.
