The sale of the BBC’s Television Centre is looking unlikely after less-than-expected bids for the portfolio it formed part of, according to MediaGuardian.
The iconic building was meant to be sold as part of the sale of BBC Resources, the corporation’s commercial subsidary responsible for outside broadcast, studios and post-production businesses.
It is understood TV Centre might now be retained because the commercial value of the land in Shepherd’s Bush is higher than what has been bid.
