BBC News and the Press Association are to trial a service to deliver raw BBC News material to broadcasters outside the UK on the day of transmission.
PA will, on behalf of BBC News, distribute and license on-the-day material from the Breakfast, One O’Clock, Six O’Clock and Ten O’Clock News programmes.
BBC head of newsgathering Adrian van Klaveren said: “We are happy to trial this service as we have for some time been asked by other broadcasters for better access to our material.”
PA already has a distribution deal with BBC Worldwide.
