It’s no wonder so many places are refusing to do FoI requests
quickly when you have people like Steve Weatherill winding up local
authorities with seemingly pointless requests about Christmas parties –
in February ( Press Gazette , 4 February).
If the paper did have a “good relationship”
with the hospital, what could be gained from this cavalier attitude?
I
have no idea what the paper was hoping to find out about the cost of
the trust’s festivities, but I hope the story is good enough to justify
upsetting a key local body.
